Goldwell's Trend Zoom Colour Challenge 2009 UK leg came to a gripping climax when the UK winners were announced at the Urban Chic Summer Party, hosted by Goldwell and KMS California at the quirky Jasmine Studios venue in Shepherd's Bush.

As well as the announcement of this year's Trend Zoom UK winners, there were plenty of surprises in store for guests, including entertainment by Britain's Got Talent stars Stavros Flatley and disco diva Jocelyn Brown and, of course, a hair show.

We've just heard that our collection has made it to the finals of Hairdresser of the year so what better time to share the behind the scenes pix of the shoot? Enjoy. Hey! Well we thought 'in for a penny, in for a quid' so here are more piccys of the salons. Nice eh!

But still no substitute for coming in yourselves. We've got wine on chill, water on tap, coffee in the percolator and tea in the pot. Oh and more juices than you could shake a fruit tree at. Hell, we even have a DJ in the windows on some weekends.

We heard just the other day that we are in the finals of the Hair Dressers Journal Awards for best website and innovation. ALot of that is down to the clever guys at The Coup Agency, who have built us a great looking site that also links to our blog, which then updtaes our flickr, twitter and facebook pages. Somehow!!??

Our top colour girl, Hayley is a UK finalist in the Trend Zoom Colour Challenge 2009.

The competition, which opened in March, received hundreds of entries that were whittled down to just 5 finalists, including our girl.

The highly coveted industry award from colour giants Goldwell will be judged by top industry experts, and key industry press. The UK winners will be announced next month at a glittering party in Kensington, London.

If Hayley is chosen as a UK winner she will head to the International Finals in Las Vegas this October, for the chance to become one of 3 a global winners!

I have a passion for the industry and it’s great to get this far in an International competition. I’m really proud of what I’ve achieved, and I want to go further... to Vegas! (she said)

Our boss man, Stu told the papers "Hayley’s inspired entry really impressed the judges, and was deemed a very strong finalist entry". This is already fantastic for Hayley and for Burlesque but now we have our hearts set on an October trip to Vegas - that would be a great end to what has been a successful year".
